burn software package provides command-line tool for writing optical media, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install burn
burn is installed in your system.
Make ensure the burn package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep burn *
You will get with burn package name, version, architecture and description in a table
